Abstract : Leukostasis is a classic and well-known complication of acute leukemia when major hyperleukocytosis is present. It affects some organs, notably the central nervous system. The symptoms of cerebral leukostasis are diverse and vary in intensity. Diagnosis of such a condition is iconographic. Treatment relies mainly on two aspects: preventing complications and chemical or mechanical cytoreduction. Currently, the prognosis of patients with cerebral leukostasis is uncertain, although quick resolution of neurological signs is sometimes observed after treatment is initiated.
