Diagnostic modalities of a Behçet uveitis

Rev Med Liege 2024, 79(1),48-53Abstract : Behçet disease is a chronic multisystemic inflammatory condition. The ocular disease mainly manifests as a bilateral, non-granulomatous, posterior uveitis or panuveitis, associated with occlusive retinal vasculitis. Uveitis is frequent in Behçet disease, it may be severe, and visually threatening. Early diagnosis and aggressive treatment are mandatory to preserve visual function. Therefore, the goal of this review is to describe the new diagnosis tools and therapeutic guidelines allowing for a significant improvement of the visual prognosis.
