Rev Med Liege 2022, 77(9),491-493Abstract : We report the clinical case of a patient, 36 years old, presenting a major depressive disorder for more than 6 months. Somatic complaints (diarrhea and eczema) are also present. Thanks to a biological assessment, the diagnosis of celiac disease will be made and a strict gluten-free diet will be prescribed to the patient. This will allow the improvement of depressive symptoms and somatic complaints. This clinical case underlines the importance of the search for somatic causes in the development of a depressive symptomatology.
