Clinical management of acute stroke

Rev Med Liege 2018, 73(5-6),333-337Abstract : Stroke management dramatically changed during the last decades. Evidence shows that an early admission in a stroke unit offers the best chance of recovery to the stroke patient. The most spectacular aspect of the stroke unit activity consists of the hyperacute diagnostic and therapeutic stroke procedures, including prompt neuroimaging, intravenous thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy.
