Abstract : Acute cholangitis develops as the result of infection by enteric organisms and obstruction of the biliary tract, mainly by stones. Diagnosis is highly probable if patient complains of biliary pain, fever and jaundice. Almost 10% of patients will develop a life-threatening disease.
