Is there a place for the physician’s hopelesness in the treatment of depression ?

In fact, complete remission is frequently considered as an unrealistic objective. It is clear that recovering from major depression is a complicated objective, but it is realistic. In the present paper, we describe the case of a patient suffering from treatment-resistant chronic depression that remitted with a combination of duloxetine (Cymbalta®) and aripiprazole (Abilify®).
