Abstract : We report a case of hepatic subcapsular collection as early complication of transperitoneal laparoscopy. The etiology seems to be a detachment of the hepatic capsule induced by laparoscopic gas. We discuss the anatomic data about the liver capsule, renal fascias and retroperitoneal subdivisions supporting such a mechanism.
