Rev Med Liege 2007, 62(9),566-574Abstract : New guidelines for the management of arterial hypertension have just been released by the European Societies of Cardiology and Arterial Hypertension. The global cardiovascular risk is again at the center of this management. The control of high blood pressure goes through an adequate use of antihypertensive agents and the application of healthy lifestyle and diet recommendations. Again, management of all the cardiovascular risk factors is stimulated.
